Britney Spears to write a fiction book inspired by her conservatorship battle

2 Mins read

Pop singer Britney Spears is no stranger to shocking her audience. But the announcement that she plans to write a fiction book inspired by her conservatorship battle has wrong-footed even the singer’s most hardcore and loyal fans.

Fresh from the triumph of finally ending her conservatorship case, which saw her father control her life for 13 years, Britney took to Instagram to make the big reveal that she’s writing a novel. Although she did not spell out loud that the book is based on her personal experiences regarding the conservatorship, the novel’s subject matter sounds eerily reminiscent of her battles.

Revealing the plot on Instagram, Britney explained, “I’m writing a book about a girl who was murdered, and yet her ghost gets stuck in limbo because of trauma and pain, and she doesn’t know how to cross over to the world she used to know!” She further revealed, “After being stuck in limbo for three years, she is a ghost who thrives off of her reflection in her mirror for existence. She has no one she can trust, but something happens and she figures out how to cross over to the world where her family is.”

Having finally experienced the first flush of liberation in the aftermath of the court’s decision, Britney confessed she felt on “cloud nine.” Upon ordering the removal of the conservatorship, The Guardian reports that Judge Brenda Penny described Jamie Spears’s actions as “toxic” and “untenable.” Jamie was temporarily replaced by Certified Accountant John Zabel, who will remain Britney’s guardian until the next court hearing.

With her recent engagement to Sam Asghari and the opportunity to finally throw off the shackles of her conservatorship, Britney feels she is entering a more rewarding phase in her life. She chose to express that in the form of a novel.

Britney elaborated that the plot of her book would involve the lead character coming out of limbo and being faced with two choices. “She could greet the same people who murdered her or create a whole new life. She no longer needs her mirror as she found a portal by citing certain prayers constantly that gives her the insight and gift to not be scared anymore,” added the pop singer.
