Eleven paintings and other works by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso helped turn Las Vegas into an extraordinary destination for art sold at auction on Saturday for more than $100 million.
Two days before Picasso’s 140th birthday, Sotheby’s held this auction at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, where the works have been on display for years.
Five of these paintings were hung on the walls of the luxury Picasso restaurant in Bellagio, according to Reuters.
