Javaid Mustafa Mir is an Indian politician who was born on 24th December 1969 he is the President of JKPM and a three time former MLA from Chadoora constituency he served as the minister of state for power in 2003 and as the revenue minister in 2015 and again as a cabinet minister in 2018 till the PDP-BJP government collapsed ,his father Mir Mustafa was an MLA twice first in 1972 then in 1987 and was abducted and assassinated by militants in 1990 after his fathers assassination Mir distanced himself from politics until 2002 when his fathers workers flooded him with support and encouraged him to contest the assembly polls ,after nominating himself independently he joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and was in it until 2018 when he left the party and joined the newly launched Jammu & Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) as the chairman of the party, he was the chairman of the People’s United Front (PUF) which was a coalition between JKPM and AIP which was disbanded after the 5th of August.Javaid mustafa
