Residential building collapses in Batumi, Georgia

Local Batumibi news agency said that the collapse of part of a residential building in a 5-storey building in the centre of the Georgian city of Batumi, located on the Black Sea shore, resulted in injuries and that rescue teams are working at the scene.

Rustavi 2 TV channel said that a woman who was rescued alive on Friday from the rubble of a collapsed building in Batumi, Georgia, died of her serious injuries.

According to the TV channel, with the death of 36-year-old Inga Makedze, the number of victims of the collapse has risen to six, including two minors.
