Morocco completed its steps towards licensing the legal use of the cannabis plant by establishing a new official institution specialized in legalizing the activities of the “kif” plant, as it is called locally.

During a cabinet chaired by the Moroccan monarch on Sunday, October 17, the “National Agency for the Legalization of Activities Related to Cannabis” was approved.

The agency was added to the institutions of a strategic nature in Morocco, as the appointment of its officials is being discussed in the Ministerial Council, which is chaired by the King.
