MADIBA OF COMEDY: A QUINTESSENTIAL FIGURE RAISING THE STANDARD OF COMEDY IN NIGERIA

Popular Nigeria Mc/Compere, Stand Up Comedian, Content Creator and Skit Maker Itoto Bartholomew a.k.a Hon Madiba hails from Ivioghe, Agenebode, Edo state, Nigeria. He experienced childhood throughout Nigeria, but was raised and educated in Kaduna State, and attended Command Secondary School Kaduna. He then relocated to Imo state in the East where he kick started his comedy career. He later proceeded to Lagos and from there to Benin, Edo state where he is based currently.

As a result of his versatility, competency and zeal to raise the bar in the entertainment industry, he has worked with several content creators and has also featured in many comedy shows throughout Nigeria. While keeping track of the records of moving from one state to another, the stand-up comedian, MC, and content creator pushes the envelope by being an attribute of global talent. This is evident in instances where Madiba displays his comedic abilities at events around the world. His popular slangs “Do I know” , “Na Dem”  still trends till date. He has over 2Million followers across social media.

In addition, he is known to be the founder and owner of Madiba Empire Enterprise which has seamlessly distributed its services and performance across the world. He has overtime brought to light his yearly comedy show tagged “Madiba Updated”. He had the first edition in Benin (2021), he proceeded to hosting the Madiba Updated U.K Tour (2022) which sold out in Manchester, Birmingham and London. Also in 2022, he took the tour to another level in Turkey (Istanbul) which was also a blast. In a bid to also give back to industry that produced him, he brought the Updated Train back to Benin City, Nigeria which was also a sold out on April 15th 2022 (Good Friday).

Interestingly, he is a man with a large heart who enjoys seeing people grow. He looks up to people like Dave Chappelle, Bovi, Gbenga Adeyinka, and I go save as mentors in the industry.

Hon Madiba is blessed with a beautiful wife who owns a popular fashion brand known as Ecstatic Empire.
