Gray desert, volcanic dust making a “strange phenomenon”

Ash from the volcano of the Spanish island of La Palma in the Atlantic Ocean has blanketed homes on the island, in what some describe as an “ash desert”.

The ash image showed the house was covered with ash, which spread along the surrounding area in a form resembling sand dunes in the desert.
