Former “The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco will soon have a new role: mom. Tuesday, October 11, Cuoco announced she was expecting her first child. She and her boyfriend, actor Tom Pelphrey, are “over the moon” to welcome a baby girl in 2023.
Cuoco broke the news on Instagram, accompanied by photos of the beaming couple. Pelphrey also shared some of the images on his account with the caption: “And then it was even MORE BETTER.”
Cuoco and Pelphrey went public with their relationship in May. They made their debut as a couple on the red carpet at this year’s Emmy Awards in September. The actors met in April at the Season 4 premiere of Pelphrey’s popular Netflix show “Ozark.” Kaley Cuoco called it “love at first sight.”
It was also a matter of timing. Cuoco claims she “met Tom at the right moment.” Had it happened at another time, the actress questions if she would have been able to commit to their relationship fully. Having been married and divorced twice, Cuoco has been very vocal in her intentions of not getting married again.
On the other hand, little ones have always been on the horizon for Kaley Cuoco. In 2018, while married to Karl Cook, she commented that she loved kids and was “meant to have children.” She added that it wasn’t quite time, but she would get there. It looks like now is the time, as Cuoco and Pelphrey are beaming in the photos where they’re selecting baby clothes and gearing up for parenthood.
However, it hasn’t been all smiles for Kaley Cuoco. The actress has been open about being “horribly sick” during her first trimester. While filming the movie “Role Play,” she slept “every day between setups” and posted the photos on her Instagram Stories Tuesday to back it up. Cuoco also went on a Subway kick that lasted roughly three days. In fact, she gushed about Pelphrey hunting down a tuna sandwich for her while the duo was in Denmark.
Here’s hoping the rest of the pregnancy is easier on this joyful mom-to-be!
