Saudi Arabia and Egypt signed contracts for the awarding of the electrical interconnection project between the two countries, while the implementation phase is expected to begin next year.
The two countries signed agreements for cables, overhead lines and transformer stations, in an effort to connect about 3,000 gigawatts between the two countries, and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company signed contracts with the Saudi Electricity Company, by virtual means.
