The Directorate General of Meteorology in the Sultanate of Oman said that the tropical cyclone “Shaheen” is about 130 km from the Governorate of Muscat at a latitude of 24.2 degrees north and longitude 59.3 degrees east.
The National Committee for the Management of Emergency Situations in the Sultanate of Oman announced the cutting off of traffic on Sultan Qaboos Road, and confirmed the high water level in the Al Zahia area in the Wilayat of Muttrah, where citizens and residents were directed to climb to the top of their homes.
