Lifelong Entrepreneur Stephen Zhang is at the Top of His Game

2 Mins read

Most successful individuals have a story to tell about how they brought their dreams to life. The interesting aspect of these stories is the unique way the storyteller found success through a series of uncertainties and challenges without giving up.

Stephen Zhang is one of the successful entrepreneurs living his dream. Stephen is a passionate entrepreneur, public speaker, and producer. He is the founder and CEO of HYGO INC, a digital media company with more than 30 million followers online. HYGO creates viral videos and partners with celebrities, creators, and models to both grow and monetize their audiences. Stephen is also the co-founder and previous CEO of IQX, a portfolio company that controls over half a billion digital assets and works with publications to drive high-volume traffic.

Entrepreneurship has been something Stephen was serious about doing from a young age. He was always intrigued by the business world, and he started selling cookies and eraser shavings while in school. Stephen started discovering his love for the tech world.

“I have always been an internet nerd at heart, credit to my engineer father who introduced me to the world of technology. I could never imagine working on a business other than something to do with online or tech. I was fortunate to discover my passion from an early age, and expect to do it for the rest of my life.” Stephen explains.

Stephen’s passion for the tech world pushed him to learn how to code and program. Incredibly, his desire and hunger to achieve success propelled him to study and understand how the sector operates. He earned his first $10,000 in the summer at the age of 13. This was a project working with Google Adsense on a gaming forum that he successfully coded.

Stephen learned how to create content and market on social media while in high school. A master of his craft, Stephen was able to reach over 20 million followers on Facebook back in 2011. This included creating the first “meme pages” ever on the internet – but at the time, they were not even called “meme pages” yet. He later established his first company from his dorm room at UC Berkeley; it was a marketing brand delivering traffic to publications and news outlets using the massive Facebook audience.

Stephen has since expanded to partner with celebrities, helping them monetize their Facebook pages with his brand and publication partnerships. The business’s success inspired him to establish HYGO INC, his present business. He has since grown audiences on social media and has focused on video content.

Amazingly, HYGO INC has taken over the marketing space, and Stephen is undoubtedly on top of his game. The services include monetization with ad revenue, brand deals, and eCommerce. The brand is notable for its viral videos for partners that guarantee increased KPIs on views, traffic, and conversions. Stephen and the team have their eCommerce store with thousands of products and tens of thousands of original videos to advertise the products.
