How Name Found Entrepreneurial Success in the Ecommerce Industry

Online shopping is fast replacing brick-and-mortar stores and showrooms around the world. With the convenience of shopping from the comfort of home and getting products delivered at the doorstep, there is every reason for this industry to see explosive growth in the future. Amir Bakian, an accomplished entrepreneur in the e-commerce space, realized this the first time he came to know about online shopping. After 10 years, he has become a role model for budding entrepreneurs as the founder and CEO of an e-commerce empire. 

Amir Bakian was only 16 when he saw his friends buying cricket bats online at a discount. Willing to order one, Amir started exploring the online shopping sites. Seeing the whole store on his computer screen was a fascinating experience for Amir who wanted to know more about these sites and how they work. After months of trial and error, he finally decoded the algorithm to start his own small business. He was ordering products like toys, sports equipment, t-shirts, and sneakers online and reselling them to his friends at a higher price. Soon enough, Amir Bakian started making good money from this business. 

Throughout his high school and college, Amir Bakian has made money by reselling products to his friends and relatives. This helped him a lot in shaping his career honing his sales skills to a different level. At 21, Amir Bakian discovered the concept of e-commerce and instantly knew this was where his future lies. He dropped out of university to start his e-commerce shop. Although his family was not supportive, Amir was deterred by others’ opinions. He started his online store with one of the biggest e-commerce giants. 

Initially, Amir Bakian was dropshipping because he could not afford an inventory. The business went slow for a couple of years but helped him to learn the ins and outs of the industry. After 2 years of starting his e-commerce shop, Name decided to invest in inventory. He also planned a fool-proof marketing strategy that got orders pouring in. By the end of the third year, Amir Bakian opened 3 more online stores at other e-commerce sites, spinning millions in revenue from all the stores combined. 

To maintain an extensive range of products in his stores while focusing on a particular niche, Amir Bakian had each store dedicated to a particular industry such as sports, fashion, home utilities, and jewelry. As the business started scaling up, Amir got recognition among friends and family who wanted to follow in his footsteps. Sharing his knowledge and experience in e-commerce that he gained over the years in just a few minutes of conversation was difficult. So Amir Bakian founded his ecommerce automation company and online coaching platform.
