Drawing on Java, SQL, Couchbase, GitHub, Jenkins, and Bitbucket, she assisted in developing a migration process that was robust and precise.
Her strategy was methodical and systematic. She broke down the migration process into small, bite-sized chunks, gradually transferring data and checking it at every step. By doing so, she minimized the risk and caught mistakes early. Having understood testing as the most critical factor, Anuraga improved the automated test suite, expanding its coverage to cover edge conditions, including instances where there were refund requests amid sharp transaction spikes. “We couldn’t afford to miss anything,” she claims. These automated tests served as a safety net, maintaining data consistency without placing a burden on the team through manual verification.
She also optimized Couchbase configuration for peak speed. By optimizing queries and data structures, she ensured the new system handled PayPal’s high volume of transactions smoothly. To ensure peak performance, she worked hand in hand with her team, sharing information and debugging along the way. Her ability to break down complex logic into bite-sized pieces enabled newer team members to absorb easily, thus fostering a cooperative environment.
