Meta plans to test monetization tools within its Metaverse universe

Facebook owner Meta Platforms announced in a statement that it will begin testing commercial tools to sell digital assets and services through its virtual reality-based social platform Horizon Worlds, a key part of its plan for the Metaverse universe.

The company said that with a single tool, this select group of users will be able to sell their accessories or offer paid access to the niche digital spaces they are building.

The social media giant is also testing a program for a small group of Horizon World users in the United States to offer monthly payments to participants for using the company’s new features.
