Nuggets vs Clippers Game 7 Set After Clippers’ Redemption Win in Game 6

1 Mins read

The NBA is about to have their first Game 7 playoff match in about ten years. The culprits are the Nuggets vs Clippers series that seems to keep getting interesting everyday.

After a major loss in Game 5, the Clippers staged an epic comeback in the Nuggets vs Clippers match on Thursday. The Clippers defeated the Nuggets with a 111-105 score at the Intuit Dome. They practically forced the Nuggets into a winner-take-all game 7 on Saturday in Denver. The winner will challenge the No. 1-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder, while the loser will kiss their playoff chance goodbye.

Norman Powell Dominated the Nuggets vs Clippers Showdown

The Clippers’ winning strategy has remained the same throughout the 2025 season. Nicholas Batum led the way, James Harden provided the offense, Norman Powell shined when he was needed, and Ivica Zubac controlled the rim on both ends of the floor. The same thing went down in the Nuggets vs Clippers match.

The Clippers gained an early momentum but were unable to keep the lead at the end of the first round. It was only after Norman Powell and Nicolas Batum’s partnership during the third quarter that gave the Clippers a huge lead of 80-66 with four minutes left in the third quarter.

Powell finished the game with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, while Leonard had 27 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, and Harden had 28 points and eight assists.

Harden Turned Game 6 Into His Masterclass

James Harden wasn’t having the season the fans were expecting from him. The Game 5 was a disaster for Harden with crowds even chanting “Harden sucks” at times, something devastating for a former MVP. Harden only scored 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

However, the Nuggets vs Clippers game was a completely different story. He scored 28 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Harden was aggressive from the start, scoring 21 points in the first half and sensing the opportunity, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue adjusted the game plan to give Harden more minutes with a smaller lineup, which allowed Harden to go full beast mode.

This effort was crucial, as the Clippers were facing elimination. Harden’s leadership and scoring were pivotal in keeping their season alive, marking a notable comeback both within the game and in the context of his recent playoff reputation.
