
Tabia jan, Daughter of Habi ul llah Ganie, born in a small village of District Ganderbal named as Gundroshan, which is considered one of the backward and downtrodden village having meager facilities and alternatives of Education, Sports etc.
This village is a small countryside area of district Ganderbal where people are mainly engaged with agriculture and other activities of manual labour. This village is not so much developed in terms of having big houses, intellectuals, educationists and other decorum.
But Tabia jan has been not less than an inspiration to all of them, who really made this little village so proud from her achievements in various sports activities. She has achieved a great stature from her hard work both in Sports as well as in the Education.
The journey of Tabia Jan has not been so easy as she has struggled a horrible battle as a sports girl. Since from childhood, Tabia had been a brilliant student in studies as well as in sports. She received his preliminary education at Imamia Public School Dab Ganderbal. After passing 10th classexamination, Tabia joined Medical stream and got distinction both in 11th and 12th classes. Being a girl, Tabia Jan proved to be very determined, dedicated and honest towards her mission which paved way to her great success. After passing 12th class examination, She joined Govt. Degree College Sumbal for higher education. Tabia has completed (02) semesters of BG and is preparing for 3rd Semester in Arts stream.
Since from the beginning, Tabia had a good sense of humour but was very much determined and dedicated for sports. So she decided to take part in sports like Sqay Martial Arts. She got training from Saleem Pathan Sir, a renowned Martial Arts Player.
During the course of time, while Tabia was busy with her Sqay Martial Arts training, some members of her family tried to resist and abandon her from playing the game.
Moreover she was never appreciated by anyone for this. Which proved to be a great barrier and hindrance for her sports career, but she never quit her mission and continued to take part in her favourite game with same determination and dedication.
It was a very tough phase for Tabia, a young girl who also faced severe criticism from her villagers too. But she never looked back and continued to take trainings in Sqay Martial Arts and become the iconic figure of District Ganderbal and an inspiration to many more. She is now a National level Player and Medalist in Sqay Martial Arts.

Tabia Jan is also very good in playing Handball and Skiing too. It also proved hard for her to play such games due to non availability of such platforms especially for girls in the valley. Meanwhile, by hook or by crook, Tabia managed to do her basic course in Skiing due to her keen interest and aimed to continue it. She also got chance to play Handball at District and State Levels. She got opportunity to train herself in Handball from Rafiq Sir.
At Degree college Sumbal, Tabia
bagged Ist Position in Poetryand 3rd position in Essay competition. She also got meritorious certificate in sports category on International yoga day by GDC Sumbal.
Moreover, She is NSS volunteer at college and is amongst the active frontline workers. Whether it may be spreading awareness regarding Covid-19 , Cleanliness drives ,or Covid vaccination Drives etc. She has also been awarded by district legal services and authority Ganderbal on the eve of Beti Bachao Beti Padhau event .
Moreover, She has been part of many events like Drug addiction awareness , yoga camps , and summer sports camping.
Being NSS volunteer, She want to work and contribute herself for the nation in truest sense.
As Tabia Jan is a competitive sports person so She deserves to get better avenues and trainings to complete at National and International level in order to bring Laurels for our Nation .
Tabia truly wants to dedicate herself for the service of nation.
