WWE superstar Barbara Blank Coba, more popularly known by her ring name Kelly Kelly, is all set to hold a new title: mom. Tuesday, March 28, the 36-year-old professional wrestler and her husband, Joe Coba, revealed their pregnancy announcement on Instagram and provided further information in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. The expectant mother disclosed that she is 14 weeks pregnant, and her due date is September 25, 2023.
The former WWE Divas champion exclaimed, “I am feeling amazing,” when asked about her current state. Kelly, who has been open about her struggles with infertility, expressed that the pregnancy is a long-awaited desire. She shared that she had “been dreaming about this journey to motherhood” and creating a family with her extremely supportive spouse, Joe, for long.
To announce the good news, the pro athlete posted some stunning images of herself and her husband on Instagram. She captioned the image with, “Even though miracles take some time, Baby Coba is on the way,” accompanied by a rainbow, a baby, and crying emojis.
Kelly received a deluge of congratulations from her colleagues and loved ones, including Mickie James, Cassie Lee, and Jessica McKay. In the black and white photographs, the WWE Diva proudly displays her baby bump while wearing a white bra top, unbuttoned jeans, and white panties. Her long blonde hair is styled in loose curls, and her bodybuilder husband looks robust in a white T-shirt and jeans.
According to Kelly, the second trimester has been “great” after having reported experiencing morning sickness during her first trimester. She expressed that she now feels like her usual self and has regained the energy to engage in the activities she enjoys, such as working out. While she will be taking a break from WWE, she hinted that she might return to the ring at a later time.
She stated that WWE had always left the door open for her whenever she wished to make a reappearance in the ring. “So who knows what will happen in the future after the baby? Maybe we will have a future wrestler on our hands?” she added.
