New Face, Same Lies: Karoline Leavitt Debuts with Misinformation and Lies

2 Mins read

Karoline Leavitt became the youngest press secretary at the age of 27-years old. She proved to everyone that if you are loyal enough, you are old enough for any job. During the first press briefing, Leavitt showed the world that she was more than capable of protecting her boss.

Leavitt worked as an intern in the White House during Trump’s first term and even ran for Congress at the age of 23. She walked to the podium and went completely nuclear on the legacy media, calling them “untrustworthy.” Leavitt gave preference to the “new media”, starting with Breitbart, a news platform for alt-right and “white identity.”

Karoline Leavitt was also gushing about his new boss calling him “the best,” generous, funny, and the most transparent president in American history. That was just the beginning of her reality-defying claims.

Condoms In Gaza

The White House press secretary told the media that the Elon Musk-led DOGE and OMD had discovered and blocked $50 million in aid that was going to “fund condoms in Gaza,” and was a “waste of taxpayers’ money.”

Although it is an interesting rhetoric, it’s a blatant lie. According to a 2024 report by the US Agency for International Development, the body responsible for managing such funds stated that out of $60.4 billion assigned to Gaza, not a single dollar went toward condoms or contraception.

Karoline Leavitt Defends Trump’s California Water Lie Brilliantly

On Monday, Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that he ordered the military to “turn on the water” in California, which solved California’s water crisis. However, the state denied both the existence of a water crisis and any involvement of the military.

Leavitt conveniently failed to offer any justification for the false claim. She still couldn’t help but give credit to Trump’s trip to California for “turning on the water.”

More Lies and Rhetoric

When asked by CNN about Trump’s executive order to end birthright citizenship, Karoline Leavitt doubled down on false claims. She stated that the administration believes birthright citizenship is “unconstitutional”—despite it being explicitly written in the Constitution.

Leavitt also blamed Biden for “killing 100 million chickens” which caused the rise in egg prices. However, the killings were part of the Federal Blue Flu controlling policy that came into effect during Trump’s first presidency in 2017.

CNN stated that Karoline Leavitt was performing for an “audience of one,” just like every Trump press secretary.
