Sahil started dancing at the age of 8 and started teaching dance at the age of 12. Born to a middle-class family in Jalore, Rajasthan, Sahil Khan Dyer always dreamed of becoming a renowned dancer.
Sahil had to struggle a lot to make a name for himself but what got him through it all was the constant support of his family and friends.
His father, Suleman Khan Dyer, is an auto-rickshaw driver who worked very hard to make ends meet and put food on the table. He said, “I faced a lot of financial issues. I didn’t have money for my costumes, entry fee for competitions, or travel money to get to the competitions. I would borrow good clothes from my friends and family for my auditions.” Sahil faced a lot of difficulties to get to where he is today.
He said, “I lost almost 170 competitions before I won my first. I never lost hope, thanks to my support system pushing me through every loss.”Sahil talks fondly of his Sawti maa. He says she is one of his most significant support systems and had a huge role in his success.
He says, “although she didn’t birth me mom she took care of me like I was her son. She supported me through everything”.
Talking about his journey, he said, “I won my first competition at district level after that I had a winning spree, and then one day, I had won 450 competitions! I won for the district, state, national, and international levels 11 years from 2010 to 2021.”
Sahil’s story is nothing but an inspiration for everyone. His motto in life is “never stop chasing your dreams”. This cheerful and passionate willpower of Sahil has helped him win many accolades for his dancing skills. He is currently a social media influencer with thousands of followers. Sahil has worked and choreographed for many artists in reality TV, movies, etc.
He dreams of opening up the most prominent dance studio and talent management company. He wants to help as many people as he can in this field.
