Vojtech Cekal: The 15-year-old who did Visual Effects for the movie Avengers: Endgame

Vojtech Cekal is a songwriter and music producer from the Czech Republic. He is mostly famous amongst youngsters as the guy who remixed the “Astronaut in the Ocean” song, originally sung by the artist named Masked Wolf. But he has many more achievements to be talked about to the world.

He loves hip hop and EDM out of all the genres of music. He has mentioned Avicii being one of his inspirations. He is also a huge fan of JUICE WRLD, as can be seen from the multiple homages he has paid to the late artist.

He started his career in music in the early months of 2020 by releasing his first single “Empty” which was a remix of Juice WRLD’s song from his album “Death Race for Love”.

In 2021, he hit another milestone. He made a remix of the famous TikTok song “Astronaut in the Ocean” which reached about a million plays on Spotify and 40,000 plays on Shazam. His remix of the song also got shared by the original artist Masked Wolf, which gained him more notoriety in the music world.

On 23 October 2021, Vojtech Cekal released his new album “Stay High” with James Paul in the honor and memory of the artist JUICE WRLD. The album contains 8 tracks.

One of his most important achievements is that he was part of the Visual effects artists crew for the making of Avengers: Endgame movie, which was released in 2019. The mere fact that Vojtech Cekal was able to do this is a massive win for him, as he would have been just 13 years old at the time. The Avengers series needs no introduction, as it is one of the highest grossing film franchises ever made.

Vojtech Cekal was also on the Music Department team for the 2016 short movie “The Mariner” which was about a marine student suffering intense anxiety from past trauma and his final exams.

Another project he has done is production managing for the 2020 movie “Winter Coat” starring Angie Adler and Buddy Skelton. The movie is about a young boy who commits an act of petty crime, which reveals the intricacies of motherhood and family bonds.
