The death of the great Syrian artist, Sabah Fakhri, at the age of 88, after a long career of giving that continued for decades until the songs he performed, became one of the masterpieces of the music library in the Arab world.
Fakhri was born in the name of Sabah al-Din Abu Qaws in 1933 in the old city of Aleppo, where he was surrounded by a group of sheikhs of tarab, singers, Quran readers and makers of the glory of al-Qudud al-Halabi.
