Edmonton, Alberta Based, Lu$id 47, has just released “Activation”, enlisting Calgary/Edmonton’s own, Trip J. The song plays to speak on using the pain brought forth by Naysayers or as the ballad describes, “Haters”, as motivation to push through whatever barrier is faced, and it is clear that the pair means utmost business with this number.

Both hailing from New Atlanta (a stylistic and cultural idea bridging the two cities Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta) the fellow Canadians certainly grip their audience with an entertaining performance in this musical piece, offering message-heavy lines that easily spur thought-provoking concepts, all the while captivating through lyrical creativity and prowess.

The rising New Atlanta emcees are definitely pushing the bar with this record for their area and Nation, especially coming off the release of their previous song together “Feeling Myself”, which debuted in early 2021. As their ascension continues, it seems that more is coming from these set to be stars as time progresses and their songs become increasingly difficult to ignore. Trip J has already hinted at a nearing release, taking to his socials and Instagram stories to make this known and clear. In addition, there is no doubt that we have more coming from Edmonton’s Lu$id 47 who is never leaning away from delving into new styles and trying his hand at fashioning melodies that are quite dissimilar to those seen in his range of the woods.
Overall, “Activation”, is a SMASH single!!!
