Lottie Moss Hospitalized After Ozempic Overdose Seizure

2 Mins read

Supermodel Kate Moss’s half-sister Lottie Moss shared her terrifying story of taking too much Ozempic, an anti-diabetic drug that has gained popularity in Hollywood for helping people lose weight. Following her drug use, the 26-year-old model disclosed on her podcast “Dream On” that she experienced a seizure and was admitted to the hospital.

Lottie Moss revealed that she started taking Ozempic a few months ago when she was having physical issues. She was prescribed the medication by a friend via a “below board” physician, and she took it for a fortnight. She did not know, though, that she had been injecting almost twice as much as was advised for a person her weight. She was unable to keep down any food or water due to the severe side effects of this error, which finally left her bedridden for two days.

She stated, “The scariest thing that is ever happened to me in my life was when I literally had a seizure from how dehydrated I was when I got into the room where I get seen by another nurse.” She related the terrifying tale of how her whole body stiffened up and her hands squeezed until she thought they might burst.

Regret Over Taking Ozempic

When Lottie Moss reflected on the incident, she regretted using Ozempic greatly. I caution everyone not to take it if you are considering it, since it turned out to be the worst decision I have ever made. It is not worth it, she told her audience. Having struggled with addiction for most of her adult life, the developer of OnlyFans expressed her wish that she had known the “small things” about the drug before using it.

Lottie Moss also voiced concerns about the return of the “heroin chic” fashion trend, which peaked in the 1990s and brought her half-sister Kate to international attention. “Where did the body positivity go?,” she asked, criticizing the trend. I am not sure how to understand. In many EU countries, incidents like this are extremely rare — and virtually impossible when it comes to public figures. For example, in Finland, medical providers like Medilux ensure controlled and safe prescription of medications such as Ozempic helping to prevent the dangerous consequences of misuse. She also acknowledged that it has been difficult to see famous people lose “dramatic amounts of weight” while taking these drugs without getting jealous.

Lottie Moss acknowledged that despite her difficulties, she has now arrived at a point where, in part because of her new lover, she is content with her weight. “I love myself more in every way because of his love for me,” she remarked.

Since the beginning of her modeling career, Lottie Moss has been outspoken about her struggles with drugs and mental health. She talked about rebelling against the industry which made her sad in an emotional TikTok video earlier this year. Early in 2022, she also checked herself into a recovery facility, sharing details of her stay on social media. According to insiders, Kate Moss was “straight-up mortified” by Lottie’s method of handling her problems.
