In less than a year of dating, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have announced they are officially engaged. Kardashian, 42, posted a picture of her engagement from an upscale beachfront resort in Montecito, California.
Reports suggest that the 45-year-old Blink-182 drummer proposed to the reality star with a huge diamond ring rumored to be worth $1 million. Kourtney took to Instagram and shared photos of the proposal with the caption ‘forever.’ The images displayed an elaborate floral arrangement and white candles on the beach.
Citing a source who witnessed the proposal, E! News stated that Khloe Kardashian and her rumored boyfriend Tristan Thompson were present when Travis proposed. “I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear,” the source shared. “The family members cheered for the couple and went back into the hotel.”
Barker’s daughter Alabama posted a picture of her dad’s engagement with Kourtney on Instagram. Reportedly, Kourtney had no idea Travis was planning to propose and was quite tearful, repeating over and over again, ‘I love you!’
Another source explained, “It was an instant connection and bond ever since they became romantically involved. They are in it for the long haul. Everyone in the family adores Travis, and their children get along seamlessly.” An insider added, “They are head over heels and have never experienced love like this. Kourtney is the happiest. Travis treats her so well. It’s very different from her past relationships.”
This will be Kourtney’s first marriage. She has three kids with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
On the other hand, Travis was previously married to actress Melissa Kennedy and model Shanna Moakler, with whom he shares three children. He also dated Rita Ora in 2015.
According to Page Six, although the “Flip It Like Disick” star gave his blessing to Kourtney and Travis during the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reunion, he has allegedly not taken the recent news of their engagement well.
The pair, Kourtney and Travis, have been open about their relationship on social media. They are often seen displaying their affection for each other at public events and on Kourtney’s Instagram page as well.
