INTERVIEW WITH LITERARY SENSATION MAHALAKSHME M

1)Tell us a bit about yourself. 

Ans- I am Mahalakshme M, an aspiring young girl of 20 from Pondicherry who strives hard to reach heights with flying colours. I have co-authored more than 50 Anthologies and currently working on my solo book. I always yearn to set my goal to achieve more without a pause or a full stop.

2)What inspired you to take up writing?

Ans-Writing has always been a constant pleasure in my life. The immense love between me and the English language inspired me to write poems. They always gave me the warmth of happiness.

3)When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

Ans-The lockdown has been a very crucial day for so many peoples, including me. To overcome loneliness and depression my hands have been drowned in this beautiful field of literature and writing. Now I’m glad to say that those days were the most fruitful days of my entire life that lead me to get this award.

4)How does it feel to be an award winner for your amazing work?  

Ans-I feel overwhelmed and emotional and I am at a loss for words, this is a very special moment in my life. This moment is incredible. This award is a motivational sense for the dream come true and, obviously, all the activities of my future. By achieving such physical awards, to bring dreams to reality and prosperity in all efforts, more steps are taken with dedication and concentrated intentions. This award solidifies my beliefs and inspires me to work even harder.  

5)What would be your two-line advice to upcoming writers?  

Ans-Write more, observe yourself and others honestly. Write every day. Finish what you start. And it will lead you to success.

6) Which is your favourite genre to write on? 

Ans-I prefer Poetry. A lot of writing forms express emotion, but with poetry, it seems to go deeper. It is amazing how intricate the words and sounds can flow in a piece of poetry. It strongly expresses the emotional core of the poem.

7)What are common traps for aspiring writers? 

Ans- There are a lot of traps to fall into when it comes to the world of writing, The most common is not spending enough time with your writing pieces. Make sure you are constantly engaging with your writing and this will never make you a failure.

8) What according to you is your best literary work till date? 

Ans-The works which I wrote from the starting of my career till now and forever is always the best works of mine. I love writing and enjoy it thoroughly because I love being able to express myself and my ideas. And I love all the writings I have written so far, and what I going to write in future also.

9) What do you hope to accomplish in your writing career?

Ans-I’ll Seek out opportunities to develop or improve my skills that can help put you ahead of my career ensuring me a good knowledge about writing. I’ll constantly try new ideas and definitely will reach heights in the field of writing.

10) Who is your favourite writer? Which book is a favourite among his novels?

Ans- I love the works of RAVINDER SINGH.Talking about his first work, I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY which is a very emotional story, based on his real-life accident. I still remember the time, reading, flipping the last few pages, tears peeping out through the corner of my eyes.
