  1. Tell us a bit about yourself.

Ans- Gayatri Sriaadhibhatla is an erotic writer with a versatile forte in many genres, she has extended her exemplary work as a buddy poet and author across 25+ anthologies. She is pursuing her career in content and has been working as a content analyst. Her interests in environment, tragic poetry and erotica have shaped her as a writer who is trying to bridge all these genres into one.

  1. What inspired you to take up writing?

Ans- Generally heartbreaks are often the most common reasons for writers to take up writing and mine has been the same as well. But I started writing in 2nd grade, which was way before that I knew of any heartbreak. Writing regularly started off when I came across it as a career in my college and also a medium to relieve stress.

  1. What is your take on plagiarism in the writing community? Any suggestions on how writers can safeguard themselves from such practices?

Ans- Each writer who has written faithfully must have experienced this, nevertheless even I did. At first, I wasn’t aware of plagiarism and the ethics surrounding it, but as I have grown into a complete writer, I address it completely. From copying work to calling it inspiration, we see this everywhere. All the budding writers can of course make sure that your work is not plagiarised or vice versa by using plagiarism checker tools. Be aware of the copied works around you and always make sure you keep a check on your articles and works so that it is easy to find for reference whenever you want.

  1. Which is your favourite genre to write on?

Ans- My favourite genres are erotica, romance, tragedy mixed with poetry. I believe in incorporating different genres that add a lot of character to the plot.

  1. Tell us a bit about your writing journey so far.

Ans- From my first poem ” Joy’ in second grade to my first solo book coming up, my journey has been a mixture of ups and downs. To be honest, I got a lot of criticism when I took up erotica and started preaching intimacy positivity. Of course, it is a bumpy ride when you write boldly but it hasn’t broken me yet. With a lot of writers’ block, it has made me into a complete writer professionally and personally. The journey has been epic.

  1. What according to you is your best literary work to date?

Ans- My best literary work in erotica is ” bed musing” and my upcoming book called ” lullaby during a pandemic”.

  1. What are your upcoming projects in the literary field?

Ans- As I had mentioned, my new book is ” lullaby during a pandemic” and a pocket erotic book for everyone. It will be a great start to something new.

  1. Who is your favourite writer? What would you do if you get to spend a day with your favourite writer?

Ans- I had always loved Shakespeare and Khalil Gibran. If I get to spend a day with either of them, I would sit in a park with them eating some good Italian to attempt writing something wonderful. From amazing conversations to a stroll along the lake, it would be the best day in my life I guess.

  1. How does it feel to be an award winner for your amazing work?

Ans- It feels brilliant and overwhelming to be awarded and like by other people out there who are amazing as well. For someone who struggles with appreciation, this is the best way to accept and be thankful for everything I have.

  1. What would be your two-line advice to upcoming writers?

Ans- No matter whatever happens, never stop writing, there will be many cases in life where you can’t write but if you love it then all you need to care about is keeping it alive followed by turn this into a profession so that you love what you do.
