“Today, more and more people are moving out of their comfort zone and trying their hands at things no one ever fathomed they were capable of. More and more people are stepping out of their homes into workplaces. More and more people are getting out there and starting their own entrepreneurial ventures. Well, running your own business is no piece of cake. But if you have a business idea, don’t wait for tomorrow, start today. There’s no better time than now to get started if you want to prove yourself and achieve success. To start it, you just need to follow small steps at a time,” says Dr Sitanshu.
The preceding shares that whether you’re just starting out or are an old pro, who doesn’t want to be a more successful entrepreneur? Owning a business gives you a sense of freedom and empowerment. You can build things and watch them grow. Operating a business helps you to build a great network of people having a great mindset who gives you experiences and feeds your mind and soul with knowledge. If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to be gritty, you have to challenge yourself because no one is going to push you. In this exclusive interview, Dr Sitanshu Singh reveals all about the learning of why’s and what if’s during the journey as an entrepreneur.
He further added you need to be consistent and disciplined to grow a business. If you are not disciplined enough to stick to your timeline of work and consistent enough to follow up with the client then you will lose your clients trust and within a few months, you will lose it all no matter how big business you operate. In a business, your working model should be ‘value driven’ which means you should care more about giving value to your clients rather than getting money in return. Money is the product of the process, it should not be the only motivation to do the process.
According to him, every successful entrepreneur has an inspiring story to narrate that can motivate thousands of struggling businesspersons who want to establish a brand of their own. With their shared experience you can contemplate various possibilities that can influence you. Dr Sitanshu, being a founder of ThinkFiniti Education and Jack of all trades explains his peregrinate of counselling one client to around 2.5 lakh clients at ThinkFiniti Education from all over India. He has the vision to train 5 Lakh students by the next two years and expand his horizon into more services to empower and inspire the generation.
In Dr Sitanshu’s perspective, the question entrepreneurs must ask themselves may be the hardest to answer because it requires the most candid self-examination: Do I really love this? Can I execute the strategy? Great ideas don’t guarantee great performance. Many young companies fail because the entrepreneur can’t execute the strategy; for instance, the venture may run out of cash, or the entrepreneur may be unable to generate sales or fill orders. Entrepreneurs must examine three areas—resources, organizational capabilities, and their personal roles—to evaluate their ability to carry out their strategies.
He points out that it is easy to knock off an innovative product but an innovative business system is much harder to begin. He had to waste a lot of time explaining to his clients how his product can change a lot of things in the school system and make them believe it’s worth the cost they are charging for. Secondly, in order to generate sales, the training of the BD team is the hardest that literally takes quite a long time to generate the whole system. Apart from that, hiring the right candidate with the right educational background about the product is a very tedious task.
He believes it is very important to be passionate about what you are doing. If you do so, you don’t feel like it’s working at all. You spend more time working and making it all close to perfect. Doing what you love is more fulfilling and productive that can lead you to a higher level of success. Life is too short. So, why waste your time in a career that doesn’t make you happy?
