Brent Franklin, born and raised in Texas, dropped out of school in the 9^th grade in favor of getting a job and beginning his life. After serving in the US Navy, he tried his hand at several different industries, experiencing successes and losses, but always leveraging what he learned to propel himself forward. He came across a fix-and-flip opportunity that his friend in real estate didn’t want, but as a general contractor with crews and contacts at his disposal, he decided to take it on himself, earning $92k profit on his first flip.

With significant success in real estate investments, he turned his sights to oil and gas, bringing real estate models with him. Previously, it was a very rigid and closed industry, open only to those who were born into it or had a connection, reducing the competition for major players. The industry had an all-or-nothing approach, putting all their capital into one or two wells, and it either paid out or they lost the whole investment. Brent realized there was a better way to garner backing and increase revenue, already netting more than 9 figures in profit for investors, even in a low market.

Early on, Brent realized that if he wanted to make his goals and vision a reality, he was going to have to work hard rather than wait to get lucky. “I realized that if I needed a hand, I had to look at the end of my wrist and use what I have, and I’ve got two of them.” He was always looking for opportunities as they were gaining momentum and would jump at the chance to be involved wherever possible. As soon as an opportunity was played out or the market became saturated, he would move on to the next big thing.
