SONY TO PRODUCE THE IKONIC LABEL DOCUMENTARY “THE RISE OF IKONS”

2 Mins read

Sony will be releasing a documentary based on The Ikonics label first project. Soon to be released under the Sony Film umbrella. Eleven take us on a ride to Atlanta Georgia to film the process of recording Chloe Cartel and Pretty Lyon. Inspired by Jay Z’s fade to Black documentary and Ryan Leslie in-studio YouTube videos, Eleven shows us the real struggle of a male running an all-female label artist and staff included. For example, he has heated conversation with other labels defending the ladies, but the highlight is wen he rents a hotel room and uses it as a recording studio. “The goal is to make money not spend money, but still have that sound quality to compete with the big records” Artist Chloe Cartel and Pretty lyon Express how they feel about recording in the hotel room where Lyons show why she’s a seasoned Vet by telling Eleven in the documentary, “I thought we were going to be recording in the bathroom” while Chloe Cartel claims “I need to be in the studio, I can’t concentrate”, and Eleven Response “They did a whole movie bout rapper recording his project in a room, it’s called HUSTLE & FLOW” The documentary gets behind the scenes of the staff. Such as is a Cream Puff, Izza and Ashley Nyx. The camera also catches Eleven explaining to Chloe and pretty Lyon how they are behind deadlines for the Album, features, and soundtracks. Pretty lyon spit spell ferocious bars for an upcoming HBO show titled “Cocaine”, where she actually stops to ask the director if he ever used cocaine before. Chloe Cartel kick rhymes for the camera and speaks about her real-life outside of music. Eleven and Chloe Cartel show their personalities and charismatic charisma. As he tells “you’ll never be rich while working for somebody else” But Eleven shares wisdom with the two talented ladies, tell funny stories, and sometimes play as a referee to get everyone on the same page. The documentary is directed by Eleven’s mentor and longtime friend the legendary Mazio (Akon, French Montana , cee lo Green to name a few). This is a genius idea to catch such humble beginnings compared to the instant success stories we see today.

Sony is already preparing for screenings and deciding what streaming platforms is going to host the IKON’s. This documentary will make you laugh but mostly be inspired. A release date has not been determined. We will keep you posted
