Young and the Restless Actor Eric Braeden Announces He’s Cancer-Free

Eric Braeden, the long-standing actor known for his role as Victor Newman on the popular soap opera “Young and the Restless,” recently shared a heartening update on his health journey. Using Facebook Live, Braeden revealed that he is now free from cancer, just three days ago.

Having portrayed Victor Newman for more than four decades, Braeden became a household name. In April, he disclosed his cancer diagnosis to his social media followers, expressing gratitude for their support and well wishes.

The actor’s health concerns initially arose while recovering from knee replacement surgery when he noticed issues with his prostate.

In his recent update, Braeden acknowledged the positive impact of the prayers and well wishes he received. He stated that these gestures have significantly contributed to his well-being. The actor underwent a cystoscopy, a medical procedure where a camera is inserted into the bladder. The results confirmed his cancer-free status, leaving Braeden delighted.

Sharing his happiness, he also spoke about his overall attitude towards life, mentioning that growing older has its own joys. However, his journey towards full recovery isn’t complete. He’s currently awaiting the results of an MRI scan to ascertain if the cancer had spread. Despite this, Braeden conveyed his optimism and good feelings.

Expressing his love for life, he emphasized his contentment in working on the long-running and immensely popular show that has held the top spot for 38 years. With a dash of humor, he added that complaining would be absurd considering his fortunate circumstances.
