Asif Ahmed Rahi. Born on 4 May 1997 in Old Dhaka. Father Samsul Alam is a businessman and mother Ruma Alam is a housewife. Rahi is the eldest of two siblings. He studied secondary and higher secondary at Cambrian School and College. Although he had a penchant for sports at a young age, he wanted to work in the military. But he has failed twice in a row using glasses.
Asif Rahi is a popular chef in the country. After participating in a national competition as a child, he became known in the country. He practiced cooking in Bangladesh and India. Asif Rahi was the only boy among the contestants in the Diploma Dessert competition organized by New Zealand Dairy Bangladesh. The competition lasted for about 3 months and was broadcast live on NTV.
He said, I have lived in old Dhaka since childhood. The food here is full of tradition. Due to my stay in old Dhaka, I was able to master all the traditional foods in a very short time. I first learned to cook from my mother. I believe that the taste of cooking in my hands came from my mother.
Chef Rahi started his career in a five star hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka. He also served as the Grand Sultan of Srimangal in Sylhet. He is working as the youngest member of Bangladesh Chef Federation. He is currently serving as the Science and Technology Secretary of the organization.
His mother Ruma Alam said, my son has been talented since childhood. His memory is keen. Was very good at studying. Besides studying, she was also a skilled lady. Rahi’s cooking skills are through me. The boy has participated in Diploma Sweet Fighting Season Six. Although not the first to participate and win a prize of 2 lakh, I am happy. Everyone will pray for my son.
