Karan Thakur, who has been seen in many TV shows, web series, and ad films so far, talks about his love for traveling and how it has made him learn many precious lessons in life.
Karan continues: I started traveling solo at the age of 20 and initially it used to be religious trips to Sai Baba Temple in Shridi (Maharashtra) and Amritsar’s Golden Temple. At a young age, while traveling solo, one learns about how to be independent in terms of staying in hotels or hostels, food, ticket booking, safety measures, and many other things, but the best part is that you meet many people and understand their culture, lifestyle, and behavior. As an actor, it helps to meet new people while traveling because it is an unsaid responsibility of an actor to observe people, their body language, and their regional dialect. After all, you never know what sort of new role or project is waiting for you next.
Above all, I feel traveling gives you stories. Real stories, funny stories, inspirational stories, and sometimes haunted stories as well. But, it’s like something that is going to be with you forever, and each time you narrate that story to someone, it takes you back on the memory ride that you lived once while traveling. As a frequent traveler, I would advise people to let go of all mental barriers and take a few steps forward to plan a trip with family, friends, or solo because now we all know how to fight COVID and follow the essential guidelines, but the fun and experience of traveling should not be compromised.
