Adam Sandler and his real-life family take the spotlight in the official trailer for Netflix’s upcoming film “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah,” set to premiere on August 25. The movie is an adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom’s novel of the same title, focusing on the coming-of-age journey of best friends Stacy Friedman and Lydia Katz as they navigate the challenges of middle school life.
Stacy, portrayed by Sandler’s daughter Sunny, is busy planning her bat mitzvah and harboring a crush on Andy Goldfarb. However, things take a turn when Lydia, played by newcomer Zaara Kuttemperoor, ends up winning over Stacy’s crush, leading to a rift between the two friends. Sandler’s eldest daughter, Sadie, also makes an appearance in the film.
