The Face N Jaw Clinic, in Oliver Road, Mylapore, Chennai, celebrates the oral and maxillofacial surgery day on February 13. This clinic specializes in maxillofacial surgery and dentistry. Dr. Sudharsan Sivashanmugam, the founder of this clinic, celebrated the Feb 13 day with enthusiasm at his clinic. And it also is the birth anniversary of Dr. Minoo Sorabjee Ginwalla, who is the first oral surgeon in India”. He also explained the importance of maxillofacial surgery in medicine. Also, he explained what is maxillofacial surgery? He said, ”Maxillofacial surgery is a super-specialty, done after the undergraduate in dentistry in India. This specialty acts as a bridge between dentistry and medicine. A maxillofacial surgeon is trained to perform complex procedures of a surgery involving the face, jaw, and oral cavity”.
