Established in September 2021, Nature Mates is generating a heightened awareness of how multiple sustainable initiatives in the U.S.
can be better understood and supported. With 100% of the profits going to charity,
their primary mission is helping to keep beaches and recreational areas clean and pristine.

Nature Mates have a long-term mission to keep the ocean beaches and recreational areas of the U.S. clean and pristine. “We work tirelessly through the use of art and events to promote ethical ideas which generate long-lasting benefits for the planet. Every time that I pick up a piece of plastic, it makes me feel like I saved another living creature such as a fish, or maybe a seahorse. If everyone was inspired to do just a little something each day, to contribute to the cleanup instead of adding to the litter, the damage that’s been done could be mitigated in years to come.”
Proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be donated to Nature Mates, a not-for-profit that promotes environmental solutions, founded by my husband. We are dedicated to the well-being of the planet, and we inspire others to make the same commitment.
Nature Mates explain their mission with a humble anecdote: “It can be something as simple as picking up trash in a parking lot – but it could also be saving a turtle who was attempting to cross the street as we were on our way back from the thrift store the other day.” Speaking of thrift stores, acting sustainably by purchasing used clothing and accessories, substantially reducing plastic use, and encouraging kindness to animals are just a few of the things that inspire the Nature Mates ’ forward-thinking agenda.
The Pink Dog was born out of a sense of social responsibility, the belief in freedom, and the urge to create awareness about the importance of taking action. The mission is to keep the focus on The Pink Dog, and see it as an icon. The Pink Dog stands for my idea, which is kind of a reverse way of seeing reality – NOT making it about the look, or the position, or even the gender – it should be about what’s inside, the character and the soul of each individual animal, and each human being.
