Accusations from the Past Resurface

Sean “Diddy” Combs faces new accusations of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed on Thursday by April Lampros. Lampros, who met Combs in 1994 while attending New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, claims the rap mogul assaulted her on four occasions between the mid-1990s and early 2000s. The lawsuit, filed in New York, also accuses Combs of battery, assault, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and violating the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law. “I’m confident that justice will prevail and the veil will be removed, so no other woman will have to endure what I did,” Lampros told CNN.

Pattern of Allegations

This lawsuit is the eighth against Combs since November, with seven directly accusing him of sexual assault. Among the previous cases, one filed by former girlfriend Cassie Ventura has been settled. Another lawsuit involves his son, Christian Combs, with Sean Combs accused of aiding and abetting the assault. Lampros’ lawsuit details her initial interactions with Combs, who promised to mentor her in the fashion and music industries. However, the lawsuit claims his seemingly kind gestures quickly turned into an abusive relationship marked by coercion and sexual violence.

Specific Incidents Highlighted

In one incident from 1995, Lampros alleges that Combs pressured her to drink and later assaulted her in a hotel room. She claims she pleaded for him to stop, but he raped her. Another alleged incident occurred in a parking garage, where Combs forced her to perform oral sex while a parking attendant watched. The lawsuit states that Lampros was left physically and emotionally devastated by these assaults.

Further allegations include an incident in 1996 where Combs forced Lampros and a former girlfriend to take ecstasy and engage in sexual acts against their will. Lampros claims Combs threatened to ruin her career if she did not comply. The lawsuit describes her feelings of disgust, shame, and embarrassment following these events.

Continued Struggles and Legal Actions

The lawsuit asserts that Lampros ended her relationship with Combs around 1998 but encountered him again in 2000–2001, during which he allegedly assaulted her once more. The complaint details her ongoing suffering, including physical injury, severe emotional distress, and anxiety. More recently, Lampros discovered that Combs had allegedly recorded their sexual encounters without her consent and shared the footage with others. She also claims he frequently threatened her and controlled her interactions, dictating her behavior under the threat of career sabotage. The lawsuit, filed by Lampros’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, also names Bad Boy Records, Arista Records, and Sony Music Entertainment as defendants, alleging they enabled the abuse by placing Combs in a position of authority without protecting her.

Ongoing Investigations

This latest lawsuit comes shortly after another accusation against Combs by former model Crystal McKinney, who claims he drugged and sexually assaulted her. Furthermore, Combs is under federal investigation for human trafficking, though his attorney, Aaron Dyer, maintains his innocence. “There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations,” Dyer stated. “Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”
