The Marvel Cinematic Universe has molded many actors into living legends. Chris Evan’s Captain America, Chadwick Bosman’s Black Panther, and Robert Downey Junior’s Iron Man are just a few names that are now essentially living legends. The MCU has become a leading franchise with an intricately crafted world that spans multiple movies and shows. Fans are always eager for the latest Marvel news.
Given Marvel’s penchant for relaunching failed careers, one particular icon from the late 90s and early 2000s was doing the rounds. None other than a controversial diva- Lindsay Lohan is rumored to be joining the MCU. The “Mean Girls” star was in the news for all the wrong reasons. From several trips to rehab, serving jail time, and notorious sex lists, Lohan had disappeared from the limelight, until recently. Several names including James Franco, Adam Levine, Jamie Dornan, and others were mentioned as part of Lohan’s list of conquests that was leaked in March 2014.
It’s hardly surprising that speculation on Lindsay Lohan’s role in the MCU has been through the roof. According to popular sources, Lohan could possibly be cast as the new Jean-Grey, considering the recent staggering success of Deadpool and Wolverine a.k.a Deadpool 3. In March, Us Weekly reported that Lohan was being considered to play a “vixen superhero” in an upcoming Marvel project. While it was not specified which character Lohan would bring to life in the MCU, some fans think she might be cast as Tigra, a woman imbued with the abilities and physicality of a tiger, while still seeming humanoid of course.
Lindsay Lohan is now back and doing her best to leave her infamy behind. Lohan’s history with substance abuse and bankruptcy had quintessentially ended her career. While she has recently reinvented herself, a hint of Marvel magic may be exactly what she needs to reclaim her lost glory.
Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming role in the MCU has the rumor mills working overtime! From having accumulated debt from being out of work, Lohan at one point owed over half a million dollars to her landlord. We are certainly excited to see Lohan return to form and perhaps her role in the MCU can transform her into the next Scarlet Johanson known for her portrayal of Black Widow.
