It’s been a whirlwind week for rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, ending with a surprise wedding. As per TMZ, Ye tied the knot with a longtime Yeezy employee on Thursday, January 12.
Per the reports, West married Yeezy designer Bianca Censori in an “intimate” ceremony in Beverly Hills, California. The couple was seen wearing wedding bands as they arrived at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hotel on Thursday. As no marriage license was filed, this is not a legally binding union.
Ye and Censori have been spotted together over recent days, including a photo of the two sharing a meal at the Waldorf on Monday. The alleged bride has worked as an architectural designer at Yeezy since November 2020. In December 2022, Ye released a track called “Censori Overload,” an unmistakable nod to his new love.
Before coming onboard at Yeezy, Censori attended the University of Melbourne. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2017 and completed her master’s at the same institution in 2020. After graduating high school, Censori showed her entrepreneurial streak by starting a jewelry company called Nylons.
Previously pictured with long brunette tresses, Bianca Censori was sporting blonde hair in Monday’s photo. The style also appeared to be quite a bit shorter. The noticeable change caused some confusion among Ye’s fans until they realized this was the same woman. With her chocolate-hued hair, Censori was a doppelganger for the rapper’s first wife.
Kanye West was famously married to Kim Kardashian, a union the media dubbed “Kimye.” The couple wed in 2014 and went on to have four children together. Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021, and the proceedings were finalized in November 2022, less than two months before Ye’s unexpected nuptials.
It is unknown how long West and Censori have been dating. Neither of them has yet confirmed their marriage via social media. Bianca Censori deactivated her Instagram account when news of her marriage to the rapper broke. She had approximately 16,500 followers on the platform.
Requests for comments from West’s reps have not yet received a response.
