
Taposhree Baruah’s book ‘Pen Down” was released at Gauhati Press Club. The book launch begins with a homage to Lata Mangeshkar. National Award Winner Film critic and Film Director Utpal Datta anchored the book launch program where Proyashi Baruah, the celebrated author of The Mystic Sinners, released the book. She said ‘the book ‘Pen Down’ is such a book that readers of all ages will be able to relate to and their lives with the texts penned down in the book.’ She added ‘the thought-provoking writing will have a strong impact in the overall thinking of its readers in the most beautiful way’. She also said that this book is a much-needed book of the hour that reflects positivity, the aspirations, emotions, and feelings of the new generation, and is a book that every reader of all ages will be able to relate to.
The Chief Guest of the event Abu Sufian,IPS, and an established author congratulated Taposhree Baruah and wished her best wishes for her new journey. He also said that ‘Pen Down’ is a book that will find readers in every corner of the world.
Poet and Advocate Bishaldeep Kakati explained the inseparable relationship between the readers and a book on his speech and encouraged Taposhree Baruah for writing more such books shortly. All the three guests were felicitated with a gamosa and a neem plant by Buli Bora. The lamp ceremony was carried out by Nibedita Neog and the vote of thanks was given by Porinita Saikia Baruah.
Taposhree Baruah was also overjoyed and overwhelmed for having her first book launched. Pen Down is a thought-provoking collection of quotes that addresses a range of human emotions, conflicts, and realization. Every reader after reading the book will relate to at least one quote that resonates with their life. The author of the book Taposhree Baruah calls the book to be a ‘celebration of thoughts, thoughts that knows no boundaries, no directions but are powerful enough. The book’s uniqueness is that there is a story behind each thought penned down in the book, but each story of the 189 thoughts will be different for different readers as everyone is different and so are their lives, said the author Taposhree Baruah.
