2 Mins read

Gurugram, Haryana, 31/01/2022 – AWL India, a leading logistics and warehousing company based in India is planning to drastically expand its operations this year. The CEO of the company and a visionary in the logistics industry, Rahul Mehra says, “Our long-term plan is to interconnect even the remotest areas in the country to ensure seamless logistics all over”.

The CEO plans to expand operations to 10 lakh square meters of storage area to help tackle the warehousing and logistics demand of the booming e-commerce industry in the country. Mr. Mehra states, “Today, logistics is a demand for businesses operating at all levels. In a growing market like India, the benefit of a flawless logistics connectivity can help boost the individual growth of the business as well as that of the economy”.

AWL India is all set to establish warehouses in cities like Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Nagpur. Being the hub spots of business, these popularly demanded locations have a great scope of emerging into flourishing markets, provided the storage and transportation needs of the businesses operating there are met. And with AWL India’s expansion plans, this demand-supply gap is exactly what the company is striving to hit.

According to the CEO, the bridge between effortless logistics and the consumer will ultimately have to be something more than just physical space, trained workers, and reliable transportation. The CEO cites, “During the pandemic, consumers have moved dramatically toward online channels, and companies and industries have responded in turn. There is a rapid shift towards interacting with customers through digital channels. To manage the surge companies need to be revolutionary in technology that supports efficient supply chain management and enhances our seamless logistics service”.

AWL India uses technological support to ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of its services. The company recognizes the immense potential that the right technology can bring in streamlining not only the logistics aspect but the entire supply chain management process. “Our warehouses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to make the operations more efficient,” says the CEO.

The company stands out in the industry because of its solid vision and strategy to ensure a streamlined supply chain. When asked about their go-to strategy for the same, Mr. Mehra said, “We emphasize visibility, volatility, and velocity in our operations, and it has helped us to create all the difference”.

AWL India was at the forefront in serving the nation when the brutal second wave of the Covid pandemic hit the country. The company partnered with the government to look after the oxygen supply chain and fulfilled the demand for reliable temperature-controlled logistics.

Addressing the concerns about expanding operations during the time of a worldwide pandemic, the CEO of the company says, “Not just India but several virus-hit countries around the world are trying to control the spread of the virus without paralyzing the economy. It has to be a coordinated public-private effort to reduce the need for any lockdown and help combat the pandemic and the logistics crisis that such a time brought last year”.
