NFT Kochi is India’s first international event dedicated to NFTs. NFT Kochi includes an NFT Conference, NFT Art Exhibit and NFT Festival was held on 18th December 2021 in the southern coastal city of Kochi.
An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger (blockchain). The NFT can be associated with a particular digital or physical asset. The unique identity and ownership of an NFT is verifiable via the blockchain ledger. Artists use NFT as an ownership contract that is linked to their publicly hosted digital contents like video, image, or music and transfer the NFT to the buyer as a certificate of ownership. NFTs have found practical applications in various fields, prominently in art, gaming, music, real estate and more.
NFT Kochi is India’s most prominent international NFT conference. The conference had the most exciting talks, debates, market trends analysis, breakout sessions and workshops from the leading companies and minds in the blockchain space. Wazirx NFT, India’s first NFT marketplace, was the NFT Marketplace partner for India’s first NFT event.
NFT Kochi 2021 was launched by Kunal Kapoor (Actor, Producer. John M Thomas, CEO, Kerala State IT Parks (Technopark / Infopark / Cyberpark), gave the keynote address and talked about blockchain and NFT technology. James Laz gave the welcome address and explained the vision behind NFT Kochi, a convergence of art and elements of an ancient civilization into the Blockchain and the Metaverse. It released the NFT Kochi theme video, which was created by Maxxo Creative.
Sandesh B Suvarna, VP Wazirx NFT Marketplace, spoke about India’s first NFT marketplace. MG Motor India automaker has announced the maiden NFT release on KoineArth’s – NgageN platform. Kalamint, Simelabs, Webandcrafts. Wall.app NFT UAE had hosted many exciting talks. Athey Nallatha pickles launched and NFT collection made by “mothers of India” during the event. Aabasoft foundation announced it would partner with a local charity to provide computer hardware to teach about NFTs and support social causes.
NFT Kochi had partnered with Webandcrafts, Zook Studio and Maxxo Creative to give an exciting event to the audience. NFT Kochi is got multiple community partners from Daze India, Colours of India NFT, Utopian Dystopia and NFTMalayali. NFTMalayali is a global collective of NFTs artists from India co-founded by Ananthan Nadamel to create a space for their digital art in the metaverse.
The NFT Kochi Art Exhibit will be available as a digital art gallery hosted in the metaverse. NFT Kochi will spotlight talent and artists from the local and international NFT community to an international metaverse stage. All the sessions for NFT Kochi will be available soon online for public viewing,
